❥ June & July Favourites 2012

Hey loves! Welcome to my second favourites post! I know that I mentioned in my May Faves that I would try to put out a favourites post every month but I've started to think that would unreasonable for me to do. I really don't try a lot of new products every month hence will only be posting my favourites whenever I feel I have plenty of great products to share! So let's get onto my combined favourites for June and July!

Sephora Nail Polish Remover:

I am constantly changing my nail colour every couple of days so a product that will conveniently and quickly remove my nail polish is a tick in my book! I picked this up whilst on holidays in Singapore and bought 2 bottles! The inside of the bottle is basically a sponge and contains nail polish remover. You basically just put your nail in the sponge hole, twirl it around and voila, your nail polish removes instantly! No need to use those cotton pads and nail polish removers anymore! They are also very long lasting. I purchased the 2 bottles at the end of 2010 and I'm currently on my second bottle. Although, I'm searching for a replacement asap because I'm back to nail polish remover and cotton pads once this runs out :( I've heard of Bourjois making something very similar to this so I might have to check that out when I'm at the stores next.

Do you guys know of any other brands that sell these types of nail polish removers? I would love to know!

Payot Paris, Pate Grise:

This baby is my favourite spot treatment for those annoying pimples you get every now and then. It's a very thick mud-like formula with a pretty strong herbal scent which I have gotten used to. I love to use it whenever I get a breakout as I feel that it really does reduce the redness and will miraculously get rid of those pimples way quicker compared to if you left it alone. It's especially great for those pimples that feel harder rather than the soft pustular ones because the formula really helps to dry up the blemishes and therefore a gentle exfoliation will get rid of it instantly. I kid you not!

Bath & Body Works Anti-bacterial Hand Gels:

If you guys know me personally, you know that I ALWAYS carry around some form of anti-bacterial gel and hand wipes. I'm a clean-freak, once I touch something dirty I need to disinfect my hands. Before I eat and need to use my hands, I need to disinfect them. Of course, this shouldn't replace your soap and water but anti-bacterial hand gels are awesome on-the-go especially in places where you don't have easy access to a restroom. My favourite anti-bacterial hand gels of all time are these ones from Bath & Body Works. They smell absolutely divine! I was first introduced to them when I was holidaying in Dubai and luckily got a bunch ordered in for me during my last trip to Jakarta! There are a great variety of different scents to choose from but the favourites I've tried so far would have to be "Sweet Pea" and "Japanese Cherry Blossom".

Nivea Essential Care Lip Balm:

This is my second tube of this lip balm and I love it! It's so moisturising, easy to apply and the scent is not over-powering at all. I can't quite put my finger on the scent but it is extremely subtle. I've tried their rose lip balm and it definitely does not compare to this one in terms of its moisturising ability. The rose one did not even smell of roses nor was it even moisturising. It's very much on par with "Lucas' Papaw Ointment" (in the red tube) in terms of moisturisation but Nivea's is just way more convenient to apply on your lips since you can just directly apply it on your lips without having to squeeze it out of the tube and then having to go wipe your sticky fingers.

Cetaphil Moisturising Cream for Dry, Sensitive Skin:

Now this is a new product for me but I am so so so impressed by it! Who says you need to go out and buy expensive high-end moisturisers when you can find something as great and simple as this one. Firstly, it's fragrance free, which is important if you have sensitive skin like myself, secondly it's inexpensive and thirdly it is extremely moisturising and hydrating. Possibly the best moisturiser I could use right now during this really cold harsh weather in Australia where my skin tends to be on the drier side. It's a pretty thick cream which I don't really mind because it means you only need a small amount. It's great because it locks in the moisture throughout the day. Definitely my new favourite moisturiser. I'm not too sure how it will perform when the months get hotter but I'll probably have to switch back to a lighter-weight cream. All in all, great for the winter!

Sephora Duo Eyeshadow in "Fresh Brown No.5":

I've been starting to use this duo again lately which contains the the perfect neutral colours. They are both shimmer eyeshadows with the lighter colour being a pink-champagne shade and the darker eyeshadow a brown with a slight hint of purple/burgundy undertones. This is the duo which I used as my predominant eyeshadow colours in my previous makeup look for my dinner date which I'll link here. No primer used at all, only my NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Yogurt as a base which I thought really brought out the light champagne shadow even more. The shadows are pretty smooth to apply on the lids aswell and nicely pigmented.

Etude House Bling Bling Eye Stick in "#05 Silver Milky Way":

Really great as a highlight for your inner eye corners or even as an eyeshadow base for a silver shadow. A really pretty and pigmented shimmery glittery silver colour. Love it!

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in "Soft Nude":

Hands down probably my favourite nude lipstick. A gorgeous and wearable peachy nude shade that will not make you look like a corpse! Applies smoothly, great pigmentation and provides a really nice shine on your lips.

L-R: Etude House Bling Bling Eye Stick in "Silver Milky Way" and Revlon's "Soft Nude" Lipstick

That's all for my favourites! Thanks so much for reading!
